Leah Setzen


Dani is committed to helping her clients navigate difficult family law issues. With years of experience in both legal practice and business, Dani brings a practical and effective approach to representation. She understands the necessity of building a genuine relationship between an advocate and her clients, valuing effective communication.
Dani previously worked for a Chicago firm litigating on behalf of individual and corporate clients in state and federal court. In addition to representing her clients throughout all stages of litigation, Dani viewed regular and direct contact with her clients regarding case progress and analysis to be extremely beneficial to overall client satisfaction.

Dani also has years of client-facing and managerial experience. Her unique background was sought out to help start-ups achieve growth and client retention. She has excelled in various industries by using her own motivation to perform at high levels to encourage those around her to do the same. Her commitment to helping people succeed has led her to focus her career on family law.

During her time in law school, Dani gained valuable courtroom experience as a Certified Legal Intern with the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office in the Juvenile Division. Dani gained the trust of her supervisors and clients, allowing her the early opportunity to represent juvenile clients at high-stakes felony trials. Recognized as a talented legal writer and confident speaker, Dani was chosen to work throughout law school as a research assistant for a litigation skills professor. Dani is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, DuPage County Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association, and Women’s Bar Association of Illinois.

Dani grew up in Bethlehem, PA and attended the Pennsylvania State University for her undergraduate education. She graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in 2011 and moved to Chicago. Dani lives with her husband and their rescue dog, a boxer named Cane. Dani enjoys challenging herself both professionally and physically. She is an Ironman triathlete, marathoner, and an enthusiastic supporter of her friends in the racing community.
