Brandy Wisher is an Associate Attorney at Grunyk Family Law, where she represents clients in all aspects of domestic relations proceedings, including dissolution of marriage, legal separation, property distribution, maintenance and spousal support, the allocation of parental responsibilities, child support and college expenses, post-dissolution enforcement and modification proceedings, domestic violence actions and parentage actions.

Brandy counsels her clients with knowledge and compassion throughout all stages of their cases, including during settlement negotiations and at court appearances and in other adversarial settings throughout litigation. Brandy understands that her clients are navigating through one of the most difficult processes in their lives and strives to ensure that they understand every step of that process so that they make informed and practical decisions that are in the best interest of their family.

Brandy is an active member in the legal community and is always continuing her legal education. Brandy received her Juris Doctor degree from the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and was subsequently admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2015. She has been practicing family law ever since. She was selected as a Rising Star by Illinois Super Lawyers in 2019 and 2020. Brandy is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the DuPage County Bar Association. Brandy also served on the Family Law Section Council for the Illinois State Bar Association and published the following Article in the Illinois Bar Journal: Reviewable Maintenance: When Do the New Guidelines Apply?

In addition to her legal work, Brandy enjoys spending time with her husband and children, including spending as much time outdoors as possible, barbequing with friends and family, gardening, taking long walks, running, going to parks, and bike riding. Brandy completed the Des Plaines River Trail Challenge in 2017, biking the entire 36.5-mile trail that runs through the Northern Suburbs of Chicago to the Wisconsin border. Brandy also enjoys a good movie and game night and loves spending hours putting together puzzles.

Brandy is a resident of Naperville, is an active member in her community, and is involved in the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce. Throughout childhood, adolescence, and even through the first decade of adulthood, Brandy moved frequently, living in lower Manhattan, the suburbs of Detroit, Southern and Central Illinois, the Northern suburbs of Chicago and Rogers Park. Even while bouncing around, Brandy did her best to give back to her community by volunteering and attending charity fundraisers. Brandy volunteered at The Center for Enriched Living in Riverwoods, Illinois, completed an obstacle course by Mudderella, an organization dedicated to empowering women, and participating in the Walk MS to support those suffering from multiple sclerosis. Brandy’s life experiences have provided her with a unique perspective to better enable her when representing and advising her clients.
