Elizabeth M. Turton
Elizabeth joined Grunyk & Associates, P.C. in May of 2010 after relocating from Peoria, Illinois. After graduating from Michigan State University with a B.A. in Business Management (2003), Elizabeth received a Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law (2007). While attending Michigan State University College of Law Elizabeth served as the Business Editor of the Journal of Medicine and Law and completed the competitive Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Institute.
Elizabeth became involved in family law early in her career, while volunteering as an Extern in the Abuse and Neglect Juvenile Division of the Washtenaw County Public Defender during law school.
Elizabeth began exclusively practicing family law an Associate Attorney at The Murphy Law Group, P.C. in Peoria, Illinois in 2007. During her time at The Murphy Law Group, P.C., Elizabeth gained extensive experience in domestic relations law negotiating and trying numerous paternity, dissolution and post decree matters. Elizabeth also received training serve as a Guardian ad Litem.
Elizabeth possesses the skills necessary to counsel and assist clients through the challenges of a family law matter. Elizabeth also assists the firm in preparing the monthly updates of caselaw, including recent trends in Illinois Family Law, to the DuPage Family Law Committee. Elizabeth is a member of the DuPage County Bar Association, the Will County Bar Association, the Peoria County Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
The skills, knowledge of caselaw, and experiences Ellizabeth has gained enable her to be an effective advocate for her clients.
